About The Artist
Kandace, native to the Bay Area, has been capturing genuine love stories for over 15 years. Early on, Kandace closely mentored with a highly established East Coast photographer specializing in photojournalism for over 40 years. From that, Kandace gained hands-on, one of a kind, experience at a young age and used that knowledge to help cultivate her love for wedding & portrait photography using a photo-journalistic approach.
Kandace not only captures the most authentic and genuine moments that become heirlooms, she also ensures comfort for those on the other end of her camera. It can be daunting and embarrassing to be a photo subject, which can result in less-than perfect, overly-posed, fake-looking photos. Kandace has a gift for making all of her photo subjects feel elegant, natural, and beautiful, so the photos she makes of them are true representations of the moment. On top of that, her creativity and passion is evident in everything she does, and her use of curated presets and film means that clients receive the most unique and beautiful photographs.
Hi, I’m Kandace
I’m not naturally a morning person but they are a lot better when my family wakes me up! My morning always start with my husband and kids busting in the room (all early risers) jumping on me giving me kisses and snuggles. Next, a good cup of coffee with a splash creamer to get me fully functional for the day. When I'm not out in the field or in the office working on my clients gorgeous photos, I am spending time with my best friend, my husband Joe and our 2 ridiculously funny and adorable kiddos.
My faith isn’t just a feeling, it’s a way of life and I do my best to serve God everyday and although I may fail it’s because in Jesus Christ alone I am redeemed. I feel that photography and compassion are my spiritual gifts and being able to support my family while doing what I love has been and is such a blessing. I believe kindness and compassion should be shown to all.
My family captured on film
Fun fact, I started my photography journey 15 years ago shooting on film and developing it myself. It’s been so fun bringing that craft back.
